Why MENV?

   COMMUNITY

At MENV, our mission is to nurture connections both within and beyond the classroom. Our dedicated faculty members actively apply their expertise, enabling them to guide students in meaningful community engagement on-campus, in our community, and beyond. With MENV's cohort-based approach, students enjoy abundant opportunities to cultivate valuable relationships with their fellow peers.

  CURRICULUM

At MENV, our faculty and staff consistently craft a dynamic curriculum tailored to align with the evolving needs of our students and their industries. Our program empowers students to customize their academic journey by choosing from one of five specializations and selecting their own elective courses. Over the 21-month duration of the program, you have the flexibility to explore courses offered both within MENV and across the broader CU campus.

  CAPSTONE

The MENV Capstone Project stands as a pivotal component of our program. Our students engage in a 9-month Capstone Project, collaborating closely with partner organizations across public, private, or nonprofit sectors. This project serves as a unique opportunity for every student to concurrently expand their professional network while making significant progress toward their degree.

  CAREER

At the MENV Career Development Office, you'll find a team of four dedicated career coaches ready to assist you not only during your time as a student but also as an alum. Our services encompass a wide range of offerings, including resume enhancement, personalized interview coaching, salary negotiation support, and more. Additionally, we organize a variety of workshops, seminars, and networking events to help students expand their horizons within the environmental sector.

Who's a good fit for MENV?

You! MENV welcomes individuals from all different walks of life. Some examples of folks that join us include, but are not limited to:

  • emerging professionals wanting to deepen their understanding and experiences in the environmental sector
