My work with students and colleagues is very humanistic and holistic. I have carried my own personal style of counseling and my former career in non-profit work, and merged it with my advising focus. Every person I meet with has my undivided attention, and I take great care to make sure they feel understood, cared for, and appreciated. I find it my life goal to build meaningful relationships, role-model a positive attitude, and empower others to meet their academic and career aspirations. I strive to improve the culture and climate around me and to promote and facilitate a just, equitable, diverse, and inclusive environment whenever possible.
