Caitlin started working with Dr. Dimidjian in 2017 in an effort to engage with academic work that combines her interests in Psychology and Buddhist Studies. She was drawn to this work in particular because it has real traction in the lived, complex messiness of human communities. Caitlin is in her 5th year of the doctoral program in Clinical Psychology at the University of Colorado, Boulder.ÌýPrior to her work at the Crown Institute, Caitlin studied Religion and Neuroscience at Carleton College and received a Master’s of Theological Studies in Buddhist Studies from Harvard Divinity School. Before joining the (then) CREST Lab as a Research Assistant, she spent three years working in experiential education abroad, taking student groups to the Himalayas and the Andes for deep inquiry and cultural immersion. Caitlin speaks Spanish fluently, and is conversant in Tibetan, Hindi, and Nepali.
