The is for undergraduate biomedical engineering students who have completed their junior year of college.

The 10-week program, under the guidance of Dr. Robert Lutz, allows rising senior bioengineering students to participate in cutting-edge biomedical research projects under the mentorship of world-class scientists in NIH laboratories.

Â鶹ÒùÔº interested in biomedical engineering research will come to the NIH campus from June 3, 2024, to August 9, 2024, for an intensive in-person research experience. BESIP interns can also participate in a variety of professional and career development programs offered by the NIH’s Office of Intramural Training and Education.

Online applications must be submitted by February 16, 2024, and reference letters must be submitted by February 23, 2024.
