About Us

Who We Are

The University of Colorado Engineering Council (UCEC) is a student government with elected members representing the student body of the College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Colorado Boulder. UCEC acts as the students' voice to the engineering administration and academic departments, as well as within theÌýÌýand groups like theÌý. We function as the intermediaries between students and administrators by representing the concerns and ideas of our student members. In this manner, all student members can share their opinions and improve their relationship with the administration. The UCEC also sponsors annual events, such asÌýE-Week, where individual engineering societies host shows and competitions to encourage a fun and collaborative learning environment.

We encourage you to become active participants within the engineering discipline and the College of Engineering and Applied Science. The UCEC and its associated engineering societies are a great way to network, socialize, and gain experience with students sharing similar interests.Ìý OurÌýStudent OrganizationsÌýpage has a list of engineering student organizations that will help you make the most of your college experience.

Our senators work directly in the greater student government of the university (CUSG) acting in the interests of our engineering students.Ìý

Our Board of Directors manage various committees such as Freshmen Council, Student Organizations, Student Engagement, Graphics and Media, and Engineering Week. Covering a variety of areas, they collectively work together to address students' issues and needs and enhancing students' college experienceÌýby leading their committee members to execute plans and events.Ìý

Committee members are the back bone of our Council as they bring all the ideas and dreams of the students and Council into reality. At the end of the day, we are all just students trying to help fellow students and we need all the help we can get. Join us today to begin making a difference.Ìý
