The CFO plays the central role in shaping the campus’s fiscal resilience and ensuring that its financial resources are aligned with the university’s mission and strategic priorities, said COO Patrick O’Rourke, to whom the CFO reports.
“We are a Research One university, and proceeding with a national search for a CFO helps us to cast a wide net for qualified candidates,” O’Rourke said. “We are seeking a candidate whose experience and expertise can best support our missions of promoting student success, advancing discovery, inquiry and the public impact of scholarship, and carrying out this work with commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.”Ěý
Vice Chancellor and CFO Carla Ho’a announced her retirement in early February after more than 30 years of service to CU, and her retirement will be effective in November. Starting the search this spring will enable her to have sufficient time to transition these critical responsibilities to her successor.
