Congratulations to the Three Minute Thesis competition winners and to all the participants who competed on the virtual stage on Feb. 16. The Zoom webinar event captured an audience of 240 viewers from sixÌýcountries and more than 1,959 views from the livestream on LinkedIn Live.
Varsha Rao (Movie Sets for Cells) took first place and received $1,500 in research funds. Rao will advance to the Western Association of Graduate Schools (WAGS) virtual competition on March 24. Shirley Huang (Emotions in Bilingual Children) was the runner-up and received $750 in research funds, and the people’s choice award went to Vishal Ray (The Story of Space Junk), who received $500 in research.Ìý
