High School Players:
If you are currently playing rugby in high school, we want you to come to the University of Colorado and play for us! Please contact ucbwomensrugby@gmail.comÌýfor more information.
Those who have never played:
No experience is required to join the team; in fact most of our players had never touched a rugby ball before college. Come to our informational meeting or just show up to practice!Ìý
When does CU practice and play?
Check out theÌýscheduleÌýfor times, dates, and locations. If you can't make it to all of the practices and games, that's OK. Please notify the head coachÌýif you will be missing from an event.
What do I wear?
Wear whatever clothes you would wear to go running or to the gym. Keep in mind that by the time practice ends, it can be pretty cold. Bring plenty of warm clothes!! Also, bring soccer/rugby cleats and a mouth guard if you've got them. If not, we can help you get that equipment. Jerseys are provided for matches.
How much does it cost?
Dues are $200 - $250 per semester. This covers registration to the national and regional rugby organizations, travel costs, and team equipment. The only additional expense you will need to cover is the cost of your own food on road trips. Hotel rooms, van rental, and gas are covered by the team. Dues are not due until a couple weeks into the season, so you can decide if rugby is the sport for you. Payment plans and other options are available, as we believe money should not be an obstacle to compete and have fun.
