Researchers, scholars and artists,
Due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the resulting U.S. response through sanctions and enhanced export controls, and the Colorado Governor’s supporting executive order, CU Boulder’s Office of Export Controls views any engagements with Russia, Belarus, and Russian-occupied regions of Ukraine, asextremely high risk. This includes not only physical shipments and travel, but alsoany interactionthat has a business or economic basis with persons physically in Russia, Belarus or Ukraine.
Because this is an evolving situation, the Office of Export Controls will reassess and modify, or terminate, current engagements as appropriate, and will recommend avoiding future engagements where there is a direct or indirect connection to Russia or the Russian government—including any entity identified as being “state-owned” or having a military support function.
For more information on the Office of Export Controls compliance process, including updates on U.S. government sanctions related to Russia, Belarus and Russian-occupied regions of Ukraine, pleasesee the OEC webpage.
