CU Boulder's in-house broadcast studio system enables university affiliates to easily conduct high-quality remote interviews with television and radio stations around the country.

Information for Guests

To ensure adequate set-up time, guests are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of their scheduled interview.

The CU Boulder broadcast studio is available to both university affiliates and external guests for live or pre-taped interviews. Media relations staff will greet guests outside the building and escort them through their interview.Ìý

Location & Parking

  • The CU Boulder broadcast studio is located at 3100 Marine St. in Room 534.ÌýClick on map for a more detailed view.Ìý
  • Parking is available on Marine St. in front of the building.
    • Media relations staff can greet guests in front of the building and provide parking permits to bypass meters.

Normal Hours of Operation (all MST)

  • Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Off Hours

  • Monday- Friday from 5 a.m. -Ìý7 a.m. and 5 p.m. -Ìý10:30 p.m.

Closed

  • 10:30 p.m. - 5 a.m. 7 days/week including holidays

Fees & Billing

Our in-house broadcast studio can accommodate a variety of live and recorded video and audio interviews. Studios, networks, organizations who book a studio interview may be charged fees based on hours, guests and staffing requirements.

ReadyCam Live Shots

  • CU Boulder affiliated experts
    • Only AVI-SPL ReadyCam fees apply
  • Non-CU Boulder affliated guests (per live shot)
    • $250 normal operating hours
    • $600Ìýoff hours, weekends and holidays
    • Separate AVI-SPL ReadyCam fees apply

Taped or Skype Interviews

  • CU Boulder affiliate experts
    • No charge

Radio/Audio Use

  • CU Boulder affiliate experts
    • No charge
  • Non-CU Boulder affliated guests
    • $75/hour Monday - Friday
    • Normal operation hours only

Internal Clients

  • Non-broadcast studio rental
    • $50/hour withÌýlimited staff support
    • $100/hour withÌýfull staff support Monday - Friday
    • Normal operating hours only

Billing

For Internal CU Boulder Billing

The client should email Katie Clark (katie.clark@colorado.edu) with a speedtype number, summary of the service and hours used, and total dollar amount.

For Non-Affiliated TV Network Billing

CU will send an invoice to the client(s). AVI-SPL requires a separate charge.

For Non-Affiliated Radio/Audio Use

CU will summarize the service and hours used and send an invoice to client(s).
