Established in 1948, Boulder Friends of International �鶹��Ժ pairs international students with local families to create a sense of belonging in the local community for CU international students. This program is mutually beneficial for students and families as we seek to enhance intercultural communication through understanding, acceptance, and celebration of culture, traditions, language, and education in an increasingly global world.

�鶹��Ժ who wish to be paired with a local BFIS family should complete the complete the short application form in your . The Boulder Friends of International �鶹��Ժ Application can be found under “General Forms.”

Families interested in joining BFIS, email bfis@colorado.edu to express your interest. You will receive further information from the BFIS board about the program.

ISSS staff and BFIS members will conduct matching every fall and spring semester, usually 4-8 weeks after the start of the semester.
