Anonymous questions in the Workshop Slack workspace
In most cases, when using the , your name will associated with any comments that you make.
Posting anonymously is simple, but takes a bit of extra effort.
- It does not matter what channel you start in
- In the text entry box at the bottom of the page, type /anon
- When / is typed, a menu will appear
- Continue typing anon and it will take you to the AnonimityBot menu
- At this point there are two ways to proceed, it does not matter which you choose
- The “/anon” method
- Press space after /anon and the menu will disappear, and you will have an “/anon ” in the text field
- Type your question after “/anon ”
- Press Enter or click the “Send” arrow
- A dialog box will appear that contains your message
- Click on the “Select a channel or type it’s name” drop down
- Select the “#anonymous-question-box” channel
- Click “Continue” to post your question
- The “Post anonymously with AnonimityBot” method
- Click on the “Post anonymously with AnonimityBot” menu entry
- A dialog box will appear
- Type your message into the “Message” field
- Click on the “Select a channel or type it’s name” drop down
- Select the “#anonymous-question-box” channel
- Click “Continue” to post your question
