Anonymous questions in the Workshop Slack workspace

In most cases, when using the , your name will associated with any comments that you make.

Posting anonymously is simple, but takes a bit of extra effort.

  1. It does not matter what channel you start in
  2. In the text entry box at the bottom of the page, type /anon
    1. When / is typed, a menu will appear
    2. Continue typing anon and it will take you to the AnonimityBot menu
  3. At this point there are two ways to proceed, it does not matter which you choose
    1. The “/anon” method
      1. Press space after /anon and the menu will disappear, and you will have an “/anon ” in the text field
      2. Type your question after “/anon ”
      3. Press Enter or click the “Send” arrow
      4. A dialog box will appear that contains your message
      5. Click on the “Select a channel or type it’s name” drop down
      6. Select the “#anonymous-question-box” channel
      7. Click “Continue” to post your question
    2. The “Post anonymously with AnonimityBot” method
      1. Click on the “Post anonymously with AnonimityBot” menu entry
      2. A dialog box will appear
      3. Type your message into the “Message” field
      4. Click on the “Select a channel or type it’s name” drop down
      5. Select the “#anonymous-question-box” channel
      6. Click “Continue” to post your question
