Dobro Slovo National Slavic Honor Society
Honor Society for REEES majors with a 3.5 GPA in REEES and an overall 3.0 GPA. Eligible students are initiated into Dobro Slovo as a graduating senior.
Russian, East European and Eurasian StudiesStudy Abroad/Intensive Language Study Scholarship
The Russian, East European and EurasianStudy Abroad/Intensive Language Study scholarship is to support REEES majors to study abroad and for intensive summer language programs in the U.S. The Russian, East European and Eurasian Study Abroad/Intensive Language Study scholarship is funded by our gift fund donors.
Application and a one-page request describing study abroad program/intensive study program and cost of program (including tuition/program cost, airfare, room & board, and any anticipated scholarships/financial aid) should be submitted to the graduate director by the given deadlines (see below).
Deadlines: October 15 (for study abroad in upcoming spring semester); Feb. 7 (for study abroad/intensive language study in summer, study abroad for the upcoming fall semester, or upcoming academic year).

The Russian, East European and Eurasian Study Abroad/Intensive Language Study scholarship is to support REEES MA and REEES BAM students to study abroad and for intensive summer language programs in the U.S. The Russian, East European and Eurasian Study Abroad/Intensive Language Study scholarship is funded by our gift fund donors.

Wittenberg Scholarship
The Wittenberg scholarship fund supports BAM and graduate students’ research/conference travel, study abroad or intensive summer language programs in the U.S., tuition, or expenses related to their profession . BAM students that have been admitted into graduate status, and for MA students that are not on a TAship are eligible for tuition scholarships. The FAFSA required for tuition scholarships. Scholarships can also be used for tuition for Continuing Education courses for all REEES MA and BAM students (FAFSA not required).
Wittenberg scholarship is in memory of Elizabeth Shevchenko Wittenberg who received her MA in Slavic Languages from CU in 1964 and taught at CU for ten years, as well as being involved in Russian activities throughout the state, including the High School Olimpiada of Spoken Russian and Jefferson County’s weekend Russian immersion village “Sosnovka.”
Amount of scholarship: Annually the Russian Program awards 1-3 outstanding students; most awards between $200 and $1,000, occasionally up to $3,000.
Purpose: To support study abroad, research/conference travel, and tuition.
Eligibility: Enrolled MA and BAM students of Russian Studies at CU-Boulder. GPA in Russian Studies: no lower than 3.0.
