Patrick Giblin went above and beyond his duties after the CU vs. Arizona football game on 11/11/2023.  We at the Office of the Chancellor host VIPs to a pregame reception then transfer them to Folsom Field via golf cart.  One of our rental golf carts broke down and had to be pushed off the street to Varsity Lawn.  It was completely dead.  After me making a couple calls, Scott Redder and Zac Cameron contacted Patrick and asked him to help me after the game.  Just a few minutes after the game ended and Patrick did what was needed on Folsom Field, he called me to ask where he could meet me with gas and to try to troubleshoot what might be wrong with the cart.  He met me at Varsity Lawn, the cart had plenty of gas, so he ended chaining the cart wheels to make sure it didn't "walk away" on Saturday night or Sunday, as carts sometimes do on college campuses.  Monday morning, 11/13/2023, he reached out to see if I needed help with the cart.  The rental company noticed a blown fuse so I told Patrick all was well and he didn't need to do anything further to help.  Well... turns out the rental company snapped a cable on their cart and it was no longer drivable, so I had to call Patrick AGAIN to ask if he and a couple of FacMan employees could to help load it on the truck.  He didn't hesitate to say he could help.  Just asked me to give him a few minutes to round up a couple more people to help.  It was so nice to know I wasn't alone in trying to figure out what to do with a golf cart stranded on a lawn on campus.  Knowing I could call for help was such a comfort for me.  Thank you very much Patrick, I appreciate you!
