I am an Assistant Professor of Marketing in the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder.
I received my PhD in Marketing from  in 2018. I spent five wonderful years at Stern, working with my advisors Ìý²¹²Ô»å . My thesis committee members are ,Ìý, and .Ìý
Prior to that, I was a computer scientist. I obtained my bachelor's degree in computer science from and my master's degree from the of the ²¹³ÙÌý. I was fortunate to start doing research very early on in undergrad with ,Ìýworking on topic modeling for academic social network analysis and mining in project . During my master's at CMU, I worked with in , applying natural language processing in tutoring systems to help children learn vocabulary.ÌýI also worked at Google Pittsburgh for three years as a Software Engineer, doing large-scale machine learning for the .
My background in both marketing and computer science and my experience in both academia and industry have shaped my research interests and approaches. Broadly speaking, my research lies in the intersection of marketing and machine learning. I am passionate about solving interesting marketing problems through the development of new methodologies and the application of state-of-the-art machine learning techniques, in areas such as visual marketing, branding, product design and innovation, social media, and consumer choice modeling. My work leverages the efficiency and scalability of machine learning and is tailored specifically to marketing applications with a deep understanding of consumer behavior and economic theories.
