Peter Romero is a second-year PhD student in the Chemical Engineering program. He completed his B.S. and M.Eng. in chemical engineering and material science, respectively, at Cornell University. Afterwards, he worked with energy storage solutions in the automotive industry as a product engineer at Clarios. As part of the LIFE, he hopes to explore electrochemical systems through the lenses of transport phenomena. Currently, his research will include understanding and modeling bipolar membranes for carbon dioxide reduction. When Peter’s off the clock, he is most likely doing something else! He likes to go for runs, play soccer, and train capoeira. Other times, he could be playing piano, perfecting one of his mother’s recipes, or rewatching Avatar the Last Airbender. Or maybe he is on a hike in the mountains or playing Pokémon Go. Who knows!
