Tenure-Track Faculty Positions

Faculty scholars will join a nationally recognized faculty whose deep commitments to equity and access are reflected in our research, policy, and practice. We seek scholars who are committed to addressing the pressing educational challenges facing our country from a wide array of methodological and disciplinary perspectives and scholars who are committed to working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations. What unites us as faculty, staff and students is our shared commitments to evidence-based policy and practice and democracy diversity, and social justice. Priority will be given to candidates with an active and coherent research agenda, a strong publication record commensurate with experience, and a corresponding record of success in obtaining outside funding. Graduate Student Assistantships

The School of Education may have open opportunities to work as a Teaching Assistant (TA), Research Assistant (RA), Graduate Assistant (GA) or Graduate Part-Time Instructor (GPTI). Salary ranges from $3,700 to $15,000 per semester, depending on hours per week.Ìý

  • Graduate Assistant (GA): Graduate students who have assignments within the department but are not directly involved in instruction. Tend to be more administrative.Ìý
  • Research Assistant (RA): Graduate students assisting with and performing research, writing up results of experiments, presenting findings at conferences, etc.Ìý
  • Graduate Part-Time Instructor (GPTI): generally are given full responsibility for an undergraduate class and designated the instructor of record. The activities may include preparing the course syllabus, instructing their class, holding office hours, determining of grades, etc. The state of Colorado oath must be signed by all active GPTIs and kept in their home department. GPTIs must have master's degree or equivalent and have demonstrated competence in classroom teaching.Ìý
  • Teaching Assistant (TA): Graduate students who supervise and lead quiz sections, discussion sections, recitations or laboratory sections, serve as class assistants, or perform comparable activities. Each TA must be under the guidance of a particular professor(s) designated by the department chair or his/her delegate. TAs are not placed in overall charge of courses.

Adjunct Lecturers

The School of Education periodically has open opportunities for adjunct lecturers.ÌýThese teaching roles are filled on an as-needed basis each semester.

  • Adjunct lecturer positions are temporary positions hired on semester contracts to teach a particular course or courses for which they are qualified.Ìý
  • Adjunct lecturers must have graduate degrees and/or advanced experience in their profession or field of expertise.Ìý
  • Prior experience as a course instructor is strongly preferred for any interested applicants.Ìý
  • This position is eligible for employee sick leave earned monthly on a prorated basis.Ìý
