Virtual museum environment with images hanging on wallsVirtual museum environment with images hanging on wallsIn addition to the four characteristics used to categorize algae, the environment where an algae is found is extremely important in determining what organisms will be living there. Algae can be found in all bodies of water, from waterfall spray to the ocean, from hot springs to icebergs. Each population is unique, and sometimes unexpected places carry the rarest genera. Collecting algae often means adventuring to beautiful places, and I’ve created a virtual art exhibit to display my photography of some of these places. I collected algae at each site shown in the exhibit which includes the Maroon Bells, Rainbow Lakes, and Cummins Falls.
