Graduate student support
The King-Hill award was established to commemorate the work of Joy King, professor emerita and former chair of our department, and Barbara Hill, who for many years served as Latin program coordinator.听 This award is given to support a student pursing an MA degree in the Teaching of Latin.
Archaeological fieldwork
Bra膷听Island Project
This project, beginning in the summer of 2021,听is a long-term collaboration with the University of Split that focuses on the island of Bra膷 in southern Croatia (Dalmatia). The Bra膷 Island Project will explore the archaeology of the island鈥檚 coastal regions from ca. 1000 BC-600 AD through both excavation and field survey.
