All CU Boulder educators, including tenured and tenure-track faculty, instructors of all ranks, and graduate student instructors, are welcome to schedule a teaching consultation. Work one-on-one with a CTL or ASSETT staff member to discuss any aspect of your teaching, large or small.听

Consultation topics can include:听

  • Adapting听to remote or hybrid modalities
  • Increasing student engagement and building community in classes of all size, including large lectures
  • Equitable and culturally responsive teaching
  • Designing or redesigning a course; syllabus considerations听
  • Assessment and grading or ungrading strategies, including design and implementation of rubrics听
  • Incorporating innovative teaching strategies or particular instructional technologies听
  • Discussing CTL/ASSETT programming and certificates听
  • Class observations, with or without student feedback听(if you are a graduate student teacher looking to complete a VTC, please contact your current departmental Lead)听

This will help us identify the most appropriate person at the CTL/ASSETT or another unit to support you.

Departmental or Group Teaching Consultation

Requesting a group or departmental teaching consultation. The CTL/ASSETT can design and offer trainings tailored to your department, or a group of educators. CTL/ASSETT staff members will work with you to determine appropriate teaching resources and activities to meet your group's pedagogical needs.听
