Save the Date
Three graduate students and three undergraduate students will each win a $1,000 award if selected by our 2021 King Award jurors.
The awards are based on artistic merit.听
Eligible 麻豆淫院:
- Must be in a degree-seeking program (BA, BFA, MA, MFA)听
- Enrolled in an ARTS (art听practices) class or classes听this school year 鈥� fall 2020/spring 2021
Dates (Mark your calendars!):
The application will be live and ready for submissions on听Wednesday, February 3
The deadline for submission is: February 19 at midnight
Notifications of the award to students: March 13-18, 2021
Jurors:
Award-winning artwork will be displayed both online and in the VAC:
A virtual showcase of applicants and awardees will be featured on the art and art history website in conjunction with a curated, in-person exhibition featured at the Visual Arts Complex of the six award winners (3 grads, 3 undergrads)
VAC Exhibition timeline:
- Installation: March 26-April 4, 2021
- Exhibition: April 5-11, 2021 (featuring three grad and three undergrad winners)
- Deinstallation/Repair: April 12-18, 2021
Application components:
- Eight images (no larger than 5 MB), and/or video link(s) uploaded to Vimeo or YouTube for viewing, and/or links to sound work(s), uploaded to Soundcloud
- Title information and artwork description if applicable
- Artist statement
