What is Air Quality Research?

Air quality research is the study ofÌýhow different activities changeÌýthe composition of our atmosphere and then trying to understandÌýhow those changes couldÌýimpact human and environmental health.
Lesson 1 provides an introduction to air quality and monitoring technologies.

The learning objectives are for the students to be able to:Ìý
List and describe the three primary reasons to study air quality (health effects, aesthetics, and climate change)
Define the difference between primary and secondary pollutants, and gas-phase and particulate pollutants
Explain the different sources of CO2, VOCs and NO2
