Minor in Russian Studies

Our students become well-versed in the basics of Russian studies, learning the language, culture and literature, and going on to enjoy satisfying careers in international business, NGOs, journalism, politics, government, publishing and education.

The Russian minor introduces students to the basics of Russian studies. Two years of Russian language and a number of courses in culture and literature gives students a strong foundation to work from in Russia and the Baltic countries where Russian is spoken.

Academic Plan & Requirements

To earn the minor, students must complete a minimum of 20 credit hours in Russian language and literature courses, including a total of 9 upper-division credit hours. The minor is open to all undergraduate students at CU Boulder, regardless of college or school.
