Intermedia Art, Writing & Performance

The doctoral program in intermedia art, writing and performance provides a rigorous yet flexible environment to practice and research emerging forms of creativity. With the guidance of leading faculty and researchers, you’ll investigate past and present forms of digital art, writing and performance.

The PhD program builds up to the creation of an original and substantial project centered on practice-based research, giving you the opportunity to experiment with new and hybridized forms of art, writing, performance and design.

Collaborate with internationally renowned faculty. Intermedia art, writing and performance faculty work with students in a cluster of interdisciplinary research labs.

Participate in cross-disciplinary experimental research. The Techne Lab and provide the perfect environments for creative work and investigations.

Learn from an interdisciplinary set of classes. The PhD program includes coursework from a variety of disciplines to introduce you to different research processes in the digital arts and humanities.
