Shannon Leone earned a BA in Political Science at Miami University and a PhD in English Literature at the University of Colorado Boulder, specializing in Gothic maternal imagery and identity in literary modernism. She taught ethics and science fiction at Colorado School of Mines. At CU Boulder, she has taught in the Division of Continuing Education, the Department of English, and the Department of Women and Gender Studies. Her teaching and research interests include feminism, intersectionality, pedagogy, modernity and postmodernity, and representations in popular culture.
