- The AB Nexus program announced its 2024 seed grant awards to interdisciplinary research teams from the Boulder and Anschutz campuses. Collectively, the winning teams will receive $713,000 in funding to advance cutting-edge research that improves human health and well-being.

- LASP Director Daniel Baker has received a joint award for scientists who’ve made distinguished pioneering contributions to promoting space research, establishing new space science research branches and founding new exploration programs.
- Distinguished Professor Dan Scheeres has been named a NASA participating scientist on the European Space Agency’s Hera mission. He is one of 12 individuals announced for the space probe mission, which is scheduled to launch in October 2024.
- Dave Newport of the CU Environmental Center was awarded the 2024 Environmental Legacy Award by the Green Sports Alliance for his work with CU Athletics on the department’s sustainability initiatives.
