Director of Communications, Chief Spokesperson
Steve Hurlbert serves as the university鈥檚 Director of Communications and Chief Spokesperson. His areas of emphasis are related to all strategic communications or issues involving CU Boulder鈥檚 Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and he also works on select strategic communications projects involving Coach Prime. Steve also helps spearhead communications for major campus initiatives and crises. He grew up in Dillon, Colo and has served in a variety of PR/crisis communications roles throughout his career, including at the Colorado Secretary of State鈥檚 Office during the 2020 election, Winter Park Resort, and in professional baseball.
