Dear students, faculty and staff,
As leads of the Academic Year 2020-21 Planning Team, we want to thank the hundreds of you who have shared input and ideas regarding the plans we are developing for the coming fall semester. With health and safety paramount among our considerations, our plans for fall 2020 and beyond are progressing, and we would like to invite your feedback on our high-level plans before we share our recommendations with the chancellor, provost and chief operating officer at the end of the week.
We have scheduled two input sessions on Wednesday, May 13 where we will share proposed approaches to the 2020-21 academic year. Session capacity is limited to the first 500 attendees, and you will need to register to reserve your spot and receive the webinar link. Please click on one of the two links below to register for your desired session. Both will cover the same material.
The approaches presented Wednesday will cover our ideas for:
- Health and safety mitigation measures that will be required to deliver the COVID-ready on-campus experience envisioned by our campus leadership and desired by our campus community based on the input we鈥檝e received to date.
- Academic instruction recommendations, including new approaches to the first-year experience and flexible course delivery alternatives.
- Initial resource alignment priorities, including investments in student access, health and safety protocols and technology needs.
We will use input from Wednesday鈥檚 sessions 鈥� as well as feedback via our Coronavirus input form 鈥� to validate the strengths of our proposed approaches, identify concerns and prioritize revisions that will inform our recommendations to leadership.听
