CU Boulder Today听is pleased to provide this special edition, giving updates on听key campus听initiatives, as well as complementary initiatives and projects,听as the academic year wraps up.
The revised draft of the IDEA Plan鈥攖he campus鈥檚 working blueprint for achieving diversity, equity and inclusive excellence鈥攈as been delivered to the chancellor, provost and senior vice chancellor for review.
Launching last year, Financial Futures delved into four areas of focus: procurement, use of gift funds, new revenue generation and portfolio evaluation, resulting in the identification of 14 opportunities or workstreams.
The campuswide effort to evaluate the first-year undergraduate experience has recently made progress on efforts to re-envision the first-year student residential experience as well as to provide a more cohesive, consistent advising experience for all of our first-year students.
The project team is getting set to compile and analyze insights from scenario planning teams as the initiative moves closer to development of a digital planning tool for facilities and infrastructure.
In late May or early June, a draft report will be made available to the campus community for feedback and suggestions leading up to CU Boulder鈥檚 next national accreditation, which is scheduled for 2020.
Provost Moore has announced the composition of three working groups of campus subject matter experts to implement the major recommendations of a report by the Provost Committee on Academic Reorganization.
The Housing Master Plan and Transportation Master Plan initiatives are deep into outreach and data-gathering phases, with surveys having recently been sent to campus community members. An Energy Master Plan initiative is slated to launch this summer.
