CU Boulder Provost Russell Moore today announced three finalists for the position of vice chancellor for student affairs and invited the campus community to participate in the forums scheduled to provide an opportunity to meet the finalists and get to know them better.

The three finalists are listed below:

  • D'Andra Mull, PhD, former vice president for student life, University of Florida
  • Joanne Vogel, PhD, vice president for student services, Arizona State University
  • Michael Walsh, PhD, vice provost for student affairs, Oregon Health & Science University

“Because this leadership position touches on all aspects of the university and supports our students’ success and well-being, I’d like to encourage everyone in our campus community to participate in the finalists’ campus forums,” Moore said.

Finalists will be on campus for interviews in late January. Click here to review their bios and CVs, and to register for the campus forums, to be held virtually, with live captioning and interpreters for those whose first language is Spanish, Mandarin or Nepali.

Last March, Moore named Austin Jamar “JB” Banks to the post of acting vice chancellor for student affairs, following the spring departure of Akirah Bradley-Armstrong. At that same time, Moore named Daryl Maeda, dean and vice provost of undergraduate education, to chair the search advisory committee and subsequently engaged the executive search firm .

Moore thanked Maeda and the search advisory committee, as well as the Diversified Search Group consultants, for their work throughout the fall, which resulted in “these outstanding finalists, any one of whom would be highly suitable to lead Student Affairs.” Moore also thanked Banks for his continued leadership throughout his tenure as acting vice chancellor for student affairs.

Moore plans to name a permanent vice chancellor for student affairs in spring 2023.
