As faculty members continue to navigate the current instructional landscape, the Division of Continuing Education’s Learning Design Groupis collaborating with the Center for Teaching & Learningand the Office of Information Technologyto provide support services to help faculty create and deliver courses online and remotely.

In particular, the Learning Design Group offers individualized assistance to help faculty:

  • Troubleshoot Canvas and other technology issues.
  • Brainstorm effective approaches for assignments, class discussions, quizzes and exams.
  • Examine course goals, individual course components and different approaches to use.
  • Set up Canvas course content and develop skills to use for current and future courses.

Whether an instructor is developing an online course from scratch or translating an in-person course to a remote format, the Learning Design Group instructional designers will help organize course content, explore available technologies, and make the course delivery as seamless as possible.

Take advantage of virtual drop-in sessions offered twice a week to get specific questions answered.
