Body Image Awareness Month: Strength training, Sweat and Learn events

Free events are happening all week long at The Rec for Body Image Awareness Month, including strength training for women and men. Learn proper techniques and form for lower body exercises!

Join the CU Bike Program to register your bike on campus, get your bike repaired and swap out your existing lock for a high quality U-lock!


Wednesday, Feb. 12

Wellness Wednesdays: Bracelet making

Swing by Wardenburg and celebrate meaningful relationships by creating bracelets for yourself and for a friend.

Join your fellow crafters to create your very own stuffed animalsÌýin the UMC, and take a snuggle buddy home with you! All materials are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.


Thursday, Feb. 13

What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than making macarons the day before?ÌýAll materials will be provided. If you are interested in participating in a cooking class, the sign-up sheet will start at 5:15 p.m. Space is limited to the first 15 people who sign up, so please be sure to arrive early! Closed-toe shoes must be worn at all times when in the kitchen. Other events this month include making pasta, pho and pad thai.Ìý

Join ProfessorÌýFran Bagenal forÌýa journey to Jupiter with NASA’s Juno spacecraft. You'll learn the latest news this mission is telling us about the largest planet in our solar system.ÌýPlease plan to arrive 30 minutes early, as this talk will be very popular. Can't make it? She'll give the talk again Feb. 14.

Pump up your tires and participate in the international Winter Bike to Work Day challenge. Look for theÌý"Bike Home" station in the south plaza of the UMCÌýfor some bike-related fun, food and wackiness.Ìý
