As you settle in at CU Boulder, you may notice some things around campus—chalk messages on the sidewalks, event posters covering bulletin boards and many people talking about “getting involved.” There are many ways to get involved, but what does this mean for you?

Getting involved can help you meet new friends, discover interests and hobbies, and even explore different career paths. Here are 10ways to get involved at CU.

Student organizations

Service opportunities

Volunteering is a great way to get involved, both on campus and in the Boulder area. Not only can you meet new people and make a positive difference in your community, but there are also plenty of opportunities to fit your schedule. Leadership development

Leadership experience is always something that looks great on a résumé! CU GOLD provides free leadership development opportunities to all students. 鶹Ժ can register for the Core Leadership Program, which consists of weekly seminars on a variety of leadership topics.You can also apply to become a Journey Leaderand help welcome new students and families to CU in the fall.

Research opportunities

The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program provides hands-on experience in a research or creative project. There are also opportunities to connect with faculty mentors.

Participate in community building programs, educational workshops and inclusive events at the Center for Inclusion & Social Change.
