As CU Boulder enters into year three ofÌýtheÌýAcademic FuturesÌýinitiative, our implementation begins in earnest. Campus will experience the integration of our strategic initiatives—Foundations of Excellence,ÌýIDEA Plan,ÌýStrategic Facilities Visioning—intoÌýAcademic Futures’Ìýprojects and themes, driving toward the central theme ofÌýEnacting Our Commitment to Furthering the Public Good. Ìý

Financial FuturesÌýwill continue to be a complementary initiative, as its purpose is to support theÌýmission of CU Boulder through strategic financial alignment.Ìý

Our focus this year is on four priority projects: Ìý

  • Creating a common student-centered approach to teaching and learningÌý

  • Making excellence inclusiveÌý

  • Teaching and technology, online and distance educationÌý

  • Interdisciplinary teaching, research and creative worksÌý

We will also continue to make progress on the other themes and projects inÌýtheÌýAcademic FuturesÌýreport, including how ourÌýStrategic Facilities VisioningÌýinitiative will provide the physical infrastructure support needed to successfully execute the priority themes and projects.
