Registration for Summer Session starts March 6. Here are 10 reasons to consider taking summer classes at CU Boulder this year.

All students pay by credit hour for Summer Session classes. This means you may be able to shorten your time to graduation and save money on tuition, housingÌýand food by taking summer classes.

You don’t need to be in Boulder to take classes

The includes more 110 online classes offered in multiple sessions to accommodate your needs. Create a schedule that lets you go home, work, travelÌýor intern while earning the credits you need to graduate.

Earn 3 credits in 3 weeks

Concentrated single-course sessions—Maymester and Augmester—let you complete a course in just three weeks.

Get into popular courses

Have you struggled to get into popular or required classes during the fall or spring semesters? Summer Session gives you an opportunity to take the classes you want or need the most.

Small class sizes

On average, Summer Session classes have 30 students or less. This means you can engage more often and more deeply with your professors and classmates and have a richer learning experience.

Focus on few courses

Unlike the fall and spring semesters, Summer Session allows you to focus your attention on one or two classes at a time. You can immerse yourself in a topic you love or concentrate your efforts on a challenging class.

Exploration

Use the summer to explore your passions and different fields of study. Several of the schools and colleges, such as College of Music, Colorado Law and the Program for Environmental Design, offer undergraduate summer classes designed for nonmajors.
