Â鶹ÒùÔº walk across Norlin QuadCU Boulder’s next national accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission is scheduled for 2020. Accreditation review takes place every 10 years and requires a comprehensive evaluation of the university's programs, policies and practices.

In preparation, working groups made up of faculty, students and staff across campus are spending the 2018–19 academic year discussing the university’s plans, priorities and vision, incorporating the work of other campus initiatives such as Academic Futures;ÌýFoundations of Excellence; the Inclusion, Diversity,ÌýExcellence and Academics (IDEA)ÌýPlan;ÌýFinancial Futures;Ìýthe Unified Student Experience initiative;Ìýand the Campus Master Plan, to ensure quality assurance and continuous institutional improvement.

Two of five working groups met in the fall 2018 semester, and the remaining three will be formed early in 2019. In December 2019, a team of leading educators will visit CU Boulder to review the university as a whole and provide recommendations for continued improvement. In addition, the process will produce a written report for campus review at the close of the 2018–19 academic year, and the final report will be posted in fall 2019.
