Friday, Sept. 21
Run through campus in your underwear and donate your clothes to a good cause all by participating in the Nearly Naked Mile, The Herd鈥檚 annual fun run benefitting A Precious Child nonprofit听and听Denver Rescue Mission. Pre-race entertainment听starts at 8 p.m.听at the Koenig Alumni Center. Race starts at 9 p.m.
Sponsored by Program Council, this week's Friday Night Film Series will feature听Tag. Popcorn and admission are free, and it will take place at 8 p.m. in Chem 140.
鈥淥ne month every year, five highly competitive friends hit the ground running for a no-holds-barred game of tag鈥攔isking their necks, their jobs and their relationships to take one another down. This time, the game coincides with the wedding of the only undefeated player. What should be an easy target soon becomes an all-out war as he knows they鈥檙e coming to get him.鈥�
The men鈥檚 CU club hockey team will take on the University of Denver in this local showdown. Admission is free, and the game starts at 7 p.m. at the The Rec's ice rink. Come support your fellow Buffs!
闯辞颈苍听迟丑别 Nepal English Education Foundation and the Mountain Environment Research Institute听to learn about the听toll that climate change takes on various outdoor sports. This event goes from 7 to 9 p.m. at . Admission is $10.
Saturday, Sept. 22
The Saturday Physics Series will kick off with a discussion about how quantum physics offers radically new ways to encrypt, store听and share secret information, even as quantum computers themselves threaten to undermine our current secret-keeping capabilities. The presentation by Professor听Colin West begins at 2:30 p.m. in听Duane G1B30.
From noon to 10 p.m., local artists, vendors听and music performers will set up for a day of fun. The sixth annual block party welcomes people of all ages to come to and take part in the festivities. Thanks to local sponsors like Fiske Planetarium, this event is free.
Sunday, Sept. 23
Graduate students with a passion for cycling are invited to join the cycling club for a ride though Berthoud. The group plans to cover a little over 40 miles in two and a half hours. They plan to leave from Tod's Espresso Caf茅 at 10 a.m.
Come out to support CU volleyball as they take on USC. The match听starts at 1 p.m. in the CU Events Center and is free with your Buff OneCard.
Playing with light and sound, this event brings together two distinctive artists. Max Hattler and Robert Seidel are internationally known for their creative use of auditory stimulation. The event begins at 5 p.m. in the听ATLAS Black Box Theatre.
Submit your art to be showcased in the UMC
The UMC Student Arts Program collects original art created by the CU Boulder student community to display throughout the building. The deadline to submit art is Dec. 15. Learn more about the submission guidelines.
Celebrate Bisexuality Day with Eliel Cruz
The CU Boulder student group Biphoria will host听Eliel Cruz, an activist, speaker and writer on religion, LGBTQ issues and culture, at 5:30 p.m. in听Duane 1GB20. The talk is free and open听to all CU Boulder students, faculty and staff.
