Family Day: Nature’s Aviators

Look up in the sky, what’s soaring by? A bird, a bat, a beeÌýor a seed? Take an up-close look at wings covered in feathers, scalesÌýand fur—what structures help them fly? Through observations and hands-on experiments,Ìýspend the day with your headÌýin the clouds, exploring the successes and challenges of nature’s aviators, featuringÌýlive birds, flying squid rocket launching and more.

Astronomy Day at Fiske Planetarium

Fiske Planetarium and theÌýSommers-Bausch Observatory are happy to host Astronomy Day on campus! Stop by between 1 and 10 p.m. forÌýplanetarium shows, science on a sphere talks, activities for kids, observing with telescopes, student activity tables, prizesÌýand more.
