As we reflect on the past year and set our aspirations for the next, we are reminded that our campus and community thrives when collaboration is pursued at every level and all voices are included in the decision-making process.

Representatives from , United Government of Graduate 鶹Ժ, Boulder Faculty Assembly and Boulder Staff Council have worked tirelessly as your elected representatives to ensure these principles are protected and campus leadership hears our collective voice.

As we await word on the fate of DACA, now is an opportune moment to remember the university's core missions of supporting academic success and advancing scholarly research and teaching opportunities.

Chancellor’s Corner: We stand with our DACA students, employees

We are deeply disappointed about today's White House decision to end DACA and will take full advantage of the six-month grace period to make a compelling case for the program.

While each entity has its own set of priorities, we frequently come together to address issues common to all. For example, with —the executive action that shields young undocumented community members from deportation,set to expire in March—our four governing groups believe it is imperative our campus reaffirm our commitment to all those who are at risk of deportation and ensure additional protections to allow them to continue their work and academic careers unabated.

Finally, we ask that all campus community members support students, staff and faculty affected by DACA. This can mean getting involved on campus, sharing stories and issues with us and providing an inclusive space that welcomes all campus community members regardless of citizenship or nationality.
