SafeTALK: Suicide Alertness for Everyone! is a one-time opportunity forÌýfree training andÌýcertification, open to any individuals ages 15 and up. TheÌýthree- to four-hour training provides attendees with tips with tricks on how to recognize suicidal invitations and where to look for intervention resources.

By the end of the training, participants will be better able to:

  • Move beyond common tendencies to miss, dismissÌýor avoid suicide.
  • Recognize people who have thoughts of suicide.
  • Apply the TALK steps (Tell, Ask, Listen, Keep-safe) to connect a person in need to a suicide first-aid intervention caregiver.

SafeTALK eventsÌýusually are hosted through LivingWorks.net, at a cost to attendees, butÌýthe costs for this workshop have been covered already.ÌýThe event only holds 20–25 people, and spots are filling fast, so please emailÌýcole.maze@colorado.edu to register now.
