The Department of Human Resources invites new CU Boulder employees to participate in the , as a component of the year-long onboarding program.
CU Discover is offered to new, permanent employees at the University of Colorado Boulder in their first 12 to 18 months of employment. The series of brown-bag-style lunch and learn sessions builds upon the foundation set during the New Employee Welcome Experience and offers opportunities to learn more about the values, mission, operations and initiatives of the CU Boulder campus.
The sessions will be held monthly on the third Friday of each month, with the exception of January's session, which is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 19. It is recommended (but not required) employees attend the New Employee Welcome Experience prior to attending a CU Discover session.

Catherine Shea, chief of staff and director of ethics and compliance, will present theÌýfirst CU Discover session,Ìýtitled "Ethics and Compliance at CU Boulder – Our Values and Campus Experts."
The University of Colorado Boulder has a special role as a public university, and each employee participates in fulfilling this role. Shea's presentation will provideÌýa short overview of herÌýrole and introduce the Colorado Creed and other guiding principles of ethics and compliance. SheÌýwill also provide an overview of CU's ethics and compliance program, including reference to subject matter experts.Ìý
At the end of the first session, participants will:Ìý
- understand CU Boulder’s unique responsibility as a public university,
- know what CU'sÌýkey values are and
- know how to find ethics and compliance subject matter experts.
