CU Student Government and the Center for Student Involvement听is hosting a watch party for the second presidential debate on Sunday, Oct. 9, 6:30 to 9 p.m. The event will take place in Glenn Miller Ballroom.听The debate runs from 7听to 8:30 p.m. There will be tons of tasty food and beverages so come join your fellow students in watching the debate.
CUSG is also seeking Finance Board members
If you want to have a voice in how student fees are allocated and spent, there is no better place for you than at Finance Board. Applying to be a non-voting student member will give you the opportunity to understand the university鈥檚 fiscal system and be a voice for other students when discussing the approval of expenditures and developing the budget recommendation each year. Finance Board meets in the UMC on Tuesdays at 6:45 p.m.
Finance Board oversees student fee accounts, monitors expenditures and debt, approves the spending of funds, controls and monitors emergency fund accounts, and helps to formulate and promote sound fiscal policy for each cost center on the CU Boulder campus. Finance Board compiles a budget recommendation for all cost centers that is sent to the Legislative Council, Tri-Executives and, ultimately, the University of Colorado Board of Regents for approval. This budget recommendation describes what each student will pay in mandatory student fees for the upcoming school year.
