Wednesday, Feb. 24
The Martian at Fiske Planetarium.听Don鈥檛 miss a free screening of the best movie ever, starring Matt Damon, on the dome in Fiske Planetarium this evening at 7:30. Be sure to get there early, because the line will get long and seats are first come first serve. Bring a friend, lean back in those comfy recliner seats, and enjoy the movie! .
Stephen Graham Jones shares advice on writing/publishing.听Stephen Graham Jones is a highly awarded, 21-time published novelist and short collection author and CU-Boulder Professor who has navigated the labyrinth of book publishing many a day and is now seeking to share writing and publishing knowledge with students and hopeful young authors. If you are hoping to one day publish a novel, this is valuable insight! He will be discussing the business of writing in UMC 384-386 at 1 p.m. .
CU Housing Fair.听In case you missed the first housing fair in January, another will take place in the Glenn Miller Ballroom from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for anyone still unsure of what their living situation will be next year. Finding a place to live can be daunting (especially in expensive Boulder) so attending a housing fair could facilitate the process. Bring anyone you may be interested in living with. .

Gastronomic Sovereignty with Michael Twitty.听The Cultural Events Board will host renowned historian Michael Twitty, who specializes in culture and cuisine, for a free discussion in the Glenn Miller Ballroom at 7 p.m. Twitty will be discussing identity, food and freedom from a historical perspective, and there will be free food and tickets at the door. .
Self care and wellness forum.听As part of a celebration of Black History Month, join the Cultural Unity and Engagement Center and the Black Student Alliance for a de-stressing evening of hair and beauty. Denver barbers from CO Urban Naturals will be present to discuss hair and culture and give tips on self-care. The event will take place in ENVD 134 from 6 to 8 p.m. .

Spectre 007听蝉肠谤别别苍颈苍驳.听If you have yet to see the new James Bond movie, then do so now because it is awesome (and free)! Program Council鈥檚 usual Friday Night Film screening, in Chem 140 at 8 p.m., as always, is open to all students with a Buff OneCard free of charge. Bring a friend or a date and enjoy watching Daniel Craig destroy/blow up as much public infrastructure as possible in one movie. .
Intersectionality as political imperative: Panel discussion.听Join the Anthropology Department for a Graduate Student Speaker Series in Hale 230 at 4 p.m. for an engaging panel discussion on politics and intersectionality (defined as 鈥渢he interconnected nature of social categorizations such as race, class and gender as they apply to a given individual or group, regarded as creating overlapping and interdependent systems of discrimination or disadvantage鈥�). This discussion is a great learning opportunity for anthropology students and everyone else, and it is free. .
Saturday, Feb. 27
Rec Fest.听The Rec Center will host some awesome competitions and free classes throughout the day, including a disco skate, a climbing comp, and hockey and basketball tourneys, as well as dance and yoga classes (and many more!). You can win prizes in the competitions and get free food, as well as try out some activities that you鈥檝e never done before for free (but don鈥檛 forget to register)! .
Exhibit: Janelle Iglesias - Even a simple call can turn Into a complex racket.听Be sure to check out the newly opened exhibit at the CU Art Museum featuring artist Janelle Iglesias, which runs through July 9. Iglesias turns old remnants of both natural and man-made trash into a treasure- truly beautiful sculpture that serves as a sort of exhibit of human archaeology in and of itself. The museum is free and open to the public 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. .

Life science Industry Show.听Catch the RTD down to the Anschutz Medical Campus for a showcase of resources, technologies and groundbreaking work emerging in the field of life sciences. This is a great place to network and connect with professionals and companies throughout this field for all kinds of scholars.
