Kathleen Man, an assistant professor in the film studies department at the University of Colorado at Boulder, has been honored with another award for her film about child trafficking in Nepal.

"Sita, a Girl From Jambu" won this year's Best Feature Film Award in the children's advocacy category at the 3rd Annual Artivist Film Festival being held Nov. 9-12 in Los Angeles. It is the sixth award given to Man for "Sita" since its debut at the Boulder International Film Festival this year.

"It is truly an honor to receive an award at the Artivist Film Festival, since its focus is on the intersection of art and activism, which is exactly what I did with my film," said Man.

Man made the film to help raise awareness of child exploitation in the global sex trade. She shot the 50-minute film entirely on location in Nepal in 2004, working with nonactors and filming in remote villages.

The Artivist Film Festival is produced by the Artivist Collective, a nonprofit organization of more than 70 film producers, associate producers and assistants from around the world. For more information on Artivist log onto .
