Local students were among the 5,610 graduates who received degrees May 12 during spring commencement ceremonies at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Five students were honored with the Chancellor's Recognition Award for receiving all As in their college careers. They include Meghan Griffin of Elizabeth, who received a bachelor's degree in biochemistry; Ryan C. Kelley of Englewood, who received a concurrent bachelor's-master's degree in architectural engineering and civil engineering; Jeffrey Plumer of Littleton, who received a bachelor's degree in psychology; Alyssa Schlenz of Superior, who received a bachelor's degree in psychology; and Jeffrey Wyss of Boulder, who received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering.

Outstanding graduates named by the schools and colleges for spring 2006 commencement were Jonathan Musgrave of Golden, College of Music, bachelor's degree in music; Crystal Olin of Canon City, College of Architecture and Planning, bachelor's degree in environmental design; Marissa Lillo, of Littleton, Leeds School of Business, concurrent bachelor's-master's degree in accounting; John W. O'Brien of Gladwyne, Penn., College of Engineering and Applied Science, bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

Also named as outstanding graduates were Elizabeth Pelican of Colorado Springs, College of Arts and Sciences, bachelor's degree in psychology; Elizabeth Severy of Aspen, School of Journalism and Mass Communication, bachelor's degree in journalism, news-editorial; and Eduviges Ortiz of Broomfield, School of Education, bachelor's degree in Spanish, diploma in education.
