About 4,000 parents and family members of University of Colorado at Boulder students will gather on campus Oct. 21-23 to participate in Family Weekend 2005 activities.

The annual fall event draws people from across the United States and several foreign countries.

Activities will begin on Friday, Oct. 21, at 9 a.m. with the Eighth Annual Family Weekend Golf Tournament at the Indian Peaks Golf Course in Lafayette. Scheduled activities will conclude Sunday morning with a family fun run/walk from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The weekend will feature a variety of tours, presentations and entertainment. Activities range from tours of Boulder and the National Center for Atmospheric Research to presentations by some of CU-Boulder's outstanding faculty and staff members. The football game between the Colorado Buffaloes and the Kansas Jayhawks is another of the weekend's highlights.

On-site registration will be held in University Memorial Center room 235 on Friday, Oct. 21, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and again on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 8:30 a.m. until game time or 2 p.m., whichever is earlier.
