Rudolfo Anaya, author of the book "Bless Me Ultima," will be in Boulder April 21-23 participating in several special events as part of the One Book One Boulder program.

A welcome dinner for Anaya will be held on Thursday, April 21, at 6:30 p.m. in the Stadium Club at the University of Colorado at Boulder's Folsom Field. The dinner, including parking, is $35 per person.

CU-Boulder's Office of Community Relations, Boulder Public Library and the Center of the American West at CU-Boulder are presenting the dinner. Boulder Mayor Mark Ruzzin, CU-Boulder Interim Provost Susan Avery and CU-Boulder Professor Patricia Limerick will give introductions at the dinner.

Anaya's book "Bless Me Ultima" was chosen as the book to be read and discussed by Boulder citizens during 2005 for the One Book One Boulder program.

Other activities during Anaya's visit include:

∑ An Evening with Rudolfo Anaya on Friday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the ballroom of the St. Julien Hotel, 900 Walnut St. Tickets to the event are free and became available April 12 at the main desk of the Boulder Public Library at 11th Street and Arapahoe Avenue. The ticket limit is two tickets per person.

∑ Family Fiesta with Rudolfo Anaya on Saturday, April 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. outside the Boulder Public Library's main branch on the banks of Boulder Creek. The event will include an opportunity to view a live owl from the Birds of Prey Foundation, a free puppet show and many other activities.

Partners for the One Book One Boulder program include CU-Boulder, the City of Boulder, Boulder Public Library and the Daily Camera.
