MEDIA ADVISORY

Rudolph Giuliani, former mayor of New York City, will speak April 3 at 7 p.m. at the Coors Events/Conference Center on the campus of the University of Colorado at Boulder. Parking for media will be available in Lot 430, across Regent Drive from the events center and adjacent to the Leeds School of Business.

Following are media guidelines for the event stipulated in Giuliani's contract:

∑ Giuliani will meet with media for photos, video footage and questions from 6:10 p.m. to approximately 6:25 p.m. in Conference Room 4. This is the only time he will be available for questions. Media must present credentials and check in at the Events Center entrance on the north side of the building prior to the event (and prior to the question/answer session if attending).

∑ During the speech, still photographers will be permitted to shoot from designated areas near the stage for the first three minutes only of Giuliani's presentation. Videographers will be allowed to shoot 10 minutes of b-roll with no sound. All photographers will be escorted off the floor at the conclusion of these time limits and may re-enter the event through the main level doors if desired.

∑ Reporters who wish to attend the speech will be seated in section 14. No recording devices are permitted. Giuliani might take questions from the audience at the conclusion of his remarks, but no media questions will be allowed.

Giuliani's talk, on leadership during difficult times, is sponsored by the student government Distinguished Speakers Board. Tickets are $17 for general admission and $60 for limited reserved seating, plus service fees, and are available at King Soopers stores or on the Web at . CU-Boulder students with a valid ID can purchase $1 tickets at The Connection recreation area inside the University Memorial Center. The $1 student tickets are not available or transferable to non-students. Â鶹ÒùÔº must present CU IDs with their tickets.
