KUSA-TV news anchor Adele Arakawa is among the speakers at special University of Colorado at Boulder ceremonies to be held for graduating students in addition to the main university commencement on Dec. 17.

Following is a schedule of the Dec. 16-17 events to be held by most CU-Boulder schools and colleges to recognize individual graduates.

- College of Architecture and Planning recognition ceremony, Thursday, Dec. 16, at 3 p.m. in the Muenzinger Psychology auditorium, room E050.

- Leeds School of Business recognition ceremony, Thursday, Dec. 16, at 5 p.m. in Macky Auditorium.

- College of Engineering and Applied Science recognition ceremony, Thursday, Dec. 16, at 8 p.m. in Macky Auditorium. Chemistry Professor John Hutchinson of Rice University in Houston will be the speaker.

- Graduate School reception for doctoral students, Friday, Dec. 17, immediately following the university ceremony in the University Memorial Center's Aspen rooms.

- School of Journalism and Mass Communication recognition ceremony, Thursday, Dec. 16, at 2 p.m. in Macky Auditorium. Arakawa, a news anchor at Channel 9 in Denver, will be the speaker.

- School of Law recognition ceremony, Friday, Dec. 17, immediately following the university ceremony in Fleming Law Building's Moorhead-Rutledge Lounge.

- College of Music recognition ceremony, Thursday, Dec. 16, at 3 p.m. in the Imig Music Building's Grusin Music Hall.

Many departments in the College of Arts and Sciences will hold events to recognize their graduates. Many of these events may not be open to the public.
