About 4,000 parents and family members of University of Colorado at Boulder students will gather on campus Oct. 15-17 to participate in Family Weekend activities.

The annual fall event draws people from across the United States and several foreign countries. In order to help the visitors get around town, the university and Go Boulder are providing free Hop bus service.

Activities will begin on Friday, Oct. 15, at 7:30 a.m. with the seventh annual Family Weekend Golf Tournament at the Flatirons Golf Course and conclude Sunday afternoon with a family fun run/walk from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and the Colorado women's soccer game vs. Texas Tech at 11:30 a.m. Families staying an extra night also can enjoy a concert featuring the Peabody Trio at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, at Grusin Music Hall in the Imig Music Building.

Weekend activities include a variety of tours, presentations and entertainment choices, such as a free performance by CU-Boulder's award-winning jazz ensemble on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Grusin Music Hall.

Registration will be held in University Memorial Center room 235 on Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and again on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until game time for the CU vs. Iowa State football game. Online registration also is available at .
